Malcolm McGonigle

Malcolm McGonigle is a talented up-and-coming writer who most recently wrote on the second series of the Scottish BAFTA winning children's comedy panel show THE DOG ATE MY HOMEWORK for CBBC. He also wrote on the new series of CBBC's MI HIGH having completed two episodes for the previous series. He participated in the Kudos Film and Television & Bush Theatre development initiative and is a former finalist of the Red Planet Prize in 2010 when he was also shortlisted for the BBC Writer's Academy. He has had an original comedy idea under option to BBC Comedy and has had original drama series developed by BBC Scotland Drama. He is currently developing his original drama series with Island Pictures, developing new comedy ideas with Avalon Television and his original comedy drama UNSINKABLE is under option to DLT Entertainment.

Malcolm has also written for radio, contributing to comedy shows including SWOTS and ELLIS AND CLARKE for BBC Radio Scotland, with whom he has had an original comedy sitcom in development.

Previously a freelance journalist, Malcolm's work has been published in The List, The Skinny, The Larder, Artmag and The Big Issue. His novel LIFE OVERHAUL is currently available on Amazon.
