Malcolm McGonigle

Malcolm McGonigle is a talented up-and-coming writer who most recently wrote on the second series of the Scottish BAFTA winning children's comedy panel show THE DOG ATE MY HOMEWORK for CBBC. He also wrote on the new series of CBBC's MI HIGH having completed two episodes for the previous series. He recently participated in the Kudos Film and Television & Bush Theatre development initiative and is a former finalist of the Red Planet Prize in 2010 when he was also shortlisted for the BBC Writer's Academy. He has had an original comedy idea under option with BBC Comedy and has also had an original drama developed by BBC Scotland Drama. He is currently developing his original drama series with Island Pictures and developing new comedy ideas with Avalon Television.

Malcolm has also written for radio, contributing to comedy shows including SWOTS and ELLIS AND CLARKE for BBC Radio Scotland, with whom he has had an original comedy sitcom in development.

Previously a freelance journalist, Malcolm's work has been published in The List, The Skinny, The Larder, Artmag and The Big Issue. His novel LIFE OVERHAUL is currently available on Amazon.
